lots of (remote!) agroforestry jobs

1/29/2020

Picture
The Savanna Institute is currently seeking qualified candidates for a variety of positions within our young, energetic, and quickly-growing organization. All qualified applicants welcome; farmers and members of under-represented groups are encouraged to apply.

We hope you'll consider sharing this announcement with your networks, applying for a position below, and becoming part of the perennial agriculture revolution!

Note from SI:
Several of these positions have the potential to be remote, however some of those that are listed as remote will require a certain amount of regional travel (Farm Partnership Broker and Event Coordinator) for instance. Some positions, like the Germplasm Specialist, are potentially fully remote.

free opportunity: be a vendor at FGA winter Farming conference's Winter market

1/20/2020

It is almost time for the Food & Growers Association Winter Conference!  We are looking forward to the conference, and we hope you are also.  We will be having the Winter Market for vendors to set up at again this year.  It will be open to the public from 9am – 11am and to conference attendees throughout the day.

Once again this year, we are preparing a great lineup of speakers that we are eager to share with all of the attendees.  The keynote speaker for the 2020 FGA Winter Conference will be Nate and Liz Brownlee, owners and operators of Nightfall Farm.  Some of the topics that are planned to be covered by speakers during break-out sessions are media marketing, agritourism, the importance of local foods, ways to process and preserve foods, permaculture, and many more exciting topics.

We would like to invite you to participate as a vendor in our Winter Market, which includes a mix of vendors offering products for sale as well as vendors offering information.  It is free to set up a table at this year’s Winter Conference/Winter Market, which includes 1 table and 1 ticket to the Winter Conference.  If additional individuals would like to attend, the cost is $30 per person.  We ask that you stay until the close of the conference.  This is going to be a great way to sell your products and network with other farmers and consumers alike.  Many consumers attend the conference just to find out where they can purchase locally produced foods and products within the area.
The Winter Conference will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2020, 9 am to 2:30 pm at Batesville Middle School, 201 N. Mulberry St., Batesville, IN, in the Commons area of the school.
To save your vendor space, please fill out the information form below and return it either via email to olivia.fledderman@aol.com or via postal mail at the address below.  Please make checks payable to Food and Growers Association.
