11 acre farm for sale 15 miles west of Bloomington
The driveway is long and steep, but the property is very secluded. And only 15 miles west of the Bloomington Farmers Market.
2-3 acres are easily tillable, with more areas to grow on. As the previous home of Sundry Compost, the beds are very well amended. I have the fence posts in place for a 1/2 acre fence. It has 2 peach trees, persimmons, and a small raspberry patch. it comes with the tractor (which runs but has quirks),the grader box, and brush hog. May leave other small equipment if it will get used.

repurpose it for some other hydroponic project. Kirklin, IN area.

FOR SALE – 71 ACRE FARM with house and barns.
Selling in smaller parcels is a possibility.
6 miles East of Columbus, Indiana
54 acres in Conservation Contracts paying $8,492 / year - will increase in 2019 & 2021.
Property taxes $2,320 / year.
This is a unique property which has been well maintained and cared for. Bio-dynamic preparations have been applied to the fields as the owner was able. All the fields have undergone controlled burns in the last 3 years to improve fertility and restore plantings. The owner is looking for a buyer who either wishes to continue with the conservation contracts or farm organically or a mixture of the two. A food co-op is in the process of being established in Columbus, and Bloomington and Indianapolis are good markets. There is a mill for organic grains near Indianapolis. The demand for local organic food surpasses the supply. I believe that the timing is right both for caring for our precious soil, water, and wildlife, and for providing healthy food for ourselves and our neighbors.
Strong, imaginative, persevering, practical people will be of great benefit to this treasured farm. I look forward to meeting you.
We've just taken over management of another 37 acres of our family farm. We don't need this much land for our regenerative pasture-based livestock operation, so we'd like to find a farmer who needs land.
We see the market for - and have the land base for - a vegetable operation. Our farm is just the two of us, and we want to continue devoting our time to raising our animals. We're looking for a veggie grower interested in starting their own farm on our land, starting in 2019.
Markets/Location: We're located in southern IN (3 miles off of I-65, near Seymour). We currently sell to three mid-size town farmer's markets within a 40-minute drive. While these markets have plenty of tomatoes, corn, and zucchini, they lack diversity and year-round production. Indy is a 1.25 hour drive and Louisville is 1 hour drive.
Still time to join the Full Hand crew for 2018. We are scheduling interviews for the next couple weeks - see below for full job description and application instructions!
We are looking for a part time farm hand, 15 – 20 hours a week. The position is seasonal and will run from now – early December. Experience on a farm is not required – we are happy to train the right greenhorn - but consistency and an eagerness to learn are essential.
