for sale: tiny house perfect for the farm

2/14/2023

Picture
We're moving out of town and leaving behind our farm's camper trailer and wanted to offer it up to people in this group.

It's a 24' 1997 Coachmen Catalina Lite pull-behind trailer in which we replaced/repainted almost everything inside to make it a comfortable tiny home for ourselves.

It's in great shape with working AC, plumbing, electricity, no leaks, etc... a bedroom and kitchen sink, a surprisingly big mini fridge... a lot to love about it.

home found! : Livestock guardian dog

Update 11/16/21: Gus found a home!

Gus is a 2 year old Great Pyrenees/Anatolian shepherd mix. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines. He is a big boy at 96 pounds. He was pasture raised and reared with goats on a working farm since birth.

I have owned Gus for about 10 months and he has continued to guard goats and work as a herd protector. He came into my life unexpectedly when I purchased a herd of goats on the condition that I take the dog as well. He and my other LGD just simply don't get along and Gus is out of a job here. We became fast friends and I'm committed to finding him a new owner who loves him as much as I do. A hobby farm or a homestead would be the perfect set up for Gus!

looking for farmers in Northwest IN

7/29/2019

Looking to build relationships with farmers in Northwest Indiana

Does your farm sometimes have surplus produce? Produce that is perfectly good to eat, but isn’t going to make it to market? Society of St. Andrew can help you harvest and transport the excess to help feed those struggling to access fresh produce.
It’s simple. Farmers give us a call when there is produce to donate. We reach out to volunteers and organize the logistics, transportation and training to harvest and deliver the produce to a hunger relief agency. We keep track of all the pounds donated and where they were donated. At the end of the year farmers will receive an itemized letter listing the total number of pounds for each product which can then be used for tax deduction purposes.

For more information on how, together, we can help feed hungry Hoosiers or for more information on the Federal Enhanced Tax Deduction for donated food please contact:

Northwest Indiana Area Coordinator Paxton Suggs at glean-nwin@endhunger.org or 219-209-2808.
