Internship: Christopher Farm, Randolph County

We have a full time Intern position remaining for the 2022 season.  The position could run for 3-8 months, beginning as early as April, depending on availability.  This is a good learning opportunity to work with a well-seasoned grower and small farm crew, gaining experience in all aspects of operating a small-scale (roughly 2 acres in cultivation) certified organic vegetable and cut flower production farm including routine crop planting and care, harvesting and marketing, and preparations for our annual farm tour event.  We strive to maintain a fun work environment as we build appreciation and understanding for the ways in which we combine environmental stewardship with providing good food for our customers and our community.

Prior agricultural experience is preferred, as well as curiosity and interest in learning, a good work ethic, and willingness to communicate openly.

As intern, you will be provided with room and board in addition to a monthly stipend.  (There will be a combination of community meals and individual cooking.) 

In addition to your work and education on the production side of the farm, you will have access to a small library of reading materials relating to organic farming, have ample opportunity to explore and connect with the natural world and be immersed in the experience of living a simple lifestyle.
