Seton Harvest is a ministry of the Daughters of Charity, promoting the care of the environment by growing food naturally, sharing produce with local shareholders and people in need, and providing educational opportunities for sustainable living. Seton Harvest is a 10-acre CSA located in Vanderburgh County, just outside of Evansville, Indiana. We are a Certified Naturally Grown farm using the land in a just and environmentally conscious way to produce healthy food for up to 150 shareholders annually. 20% of our annual harvest is donated to local shelters, food banks, and church pantries. Since our first growing season in 2006, Seton Harvest has harvested 631,691 pounds and donated 141,827 pounds of fresh, naturally grown produce.

Those applying for this position must understand or be willing to learn organic farming practices, including soil amendment processes, composting, weed management, harvesting methods, irrigation techniques, and greenhouse operations. Farm Assistants must be able to endure at least eight hours of continuous work requiring physical demands, including, but not limited to standing, walking, climbing, stooping, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, and lifting. They must also be able to work outdoors at least 90% of an eight-hour day. We are looking for applicants who possess creative thinking and self-motivation skills, a positive attitude, and an interest in sustainable agriculture. High school graduate or the equivalent required; additional courses in agriculture or horticulture preferred.
