job: Part-time agroforestry apprentice

Nightfall Farm is hiring a part-time apprentice for the Fall, via the Savanna Institute's Agroforestry Apprentice Program. Apprentices help care for our sheep flock, meat chickens, laying hens, pigs, and turkeys on pasture. More details about the work and learning involved below:

Compensation: $10/hr plus room and board on work days.

Commitment: Part time (20 hours/week) x 10 weeks. Timing is flexible (could be two

10 hr days, three 6-7 hour days, or several half days per week). Housing at the farm if it’s helpful, to cut down on gas.

Timing: 10 weeks, ending by Thanksgiving

Other Perks: On-farm housing, breakfast and lunch on work days. Savanna Institute's agroforestry curriculum is incredible, and you'll put your new knowledge to work on the farm. Also, you'll be part of a cohort that engages regularly one of ~19 apprentices working on farms across the Midwest.
